Kansas announced as Milford Oyster Festival headliner


MILFORD--Kansas, a legendary rock band from the 70’s to the present, will be headlining the entertainment at the 38th Annual Milford OysterFestival on Saturday, August 18th 3:30pm at Fowler Field.  Led by original lead singer Steve Walsh, Kansas recorded several hits including the million-selling gold single "Dust in the Wind" and "Carry on Wayward Son". The band has recorded over 23 albums including 8 gold and 4 platinum records, and has spent more than 200 weeks on the Billboard Charts.

Come by all day for some great music!  The first band takes the stage at 11:30am and the rest of the entertainment lineup will be announced on the Festival website and on Facebook.  All of the entertainment at the Oyster Festival is free.

Headlining on Friday, August 17th at Oyster Eve….a kick-off event to the Oyster Festival will be The Bernadette’s who will showcase classic Motown hits, contemporary funk, soul, and R&B flavored rock songs.  Oyster Eve is held from 6:00pm – 9:30pm at Lisman Landing.

Festival visitors of any age on Saturday, the 18th will have an array of activities including amusement rides and entertainment for children, canoe and kayak races at Milford harbor, over 200 arts and crafts vendors from around the country, a classic car show, an oyster eating and shucking competition, Big Toys area, a wide variety of food and drink – and much more!  There will also be an 80’ tall ship schooner in the Harbor to give daytime and sunset cruises.

The 38th Annual Milford Oyster Festival will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, August 18th, from 10:00am – 6:00pm in Downtown Milford.
