Milford Police Nab Knife Wielding Bandit
On April 12, 2012 the Milford Police Department with the assistance of the U.S Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended Rodney Moore age 37 of 326 Prospect Street, New Haven.
Moore’s arrest stems from an investigation regarding an armed robbery that occurred at the Hampton Inn Hotel in Milford on April 7, 2012. Moore is accused of entering the business, threatening the employee with a knife and taking an undisclosed amount of money from the hotel.
Rodney Moore was charged with Robbery 1st degree 53a-134 and Larceny 6th degree 53a-125b. At the time of his arrest, Moore also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the Orange Police Department accusing him of failing to appear in court for a larceny related offense in January 2012.
Moore is currently being held on a $105,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned at Milford Superior Court today. Investigators from Milford and other law enforcement agencies are continuing with the investigation.
