Devon's Farmer's Market a success

The following is information written by state Rep. Kim Rose, D-Milford, regarding Devon's farmer's market. 

I'd like to take a moment to thank the many people for making the
Village of Devon's Farmer's Market Grand Opening a huge success!

Mayor Blake for moving the process along and allowing us to use the
municipal parking lot,  Carol Eaton who took on this huge venture with
me, Toni in the City Attorney's office for going above and beyond in
helping us secure our permits, Public Works Dept. who came out and
repaired the fencing, cleaned the parking lot and will provide us with
garbage cans and "horses",  our vendors who are participating and
believe in Devon and the market and to the many who came out on Sunday
to browse and shop! We will be featuring entertainment and special
events through out the summer.

The market will be held every Sunday now through October from 10-2.
Look for the big white "CT GROWN" tents in the municipal parking lot
next to Al Dente Restaurant.  The vendors will also accept Senior
vouchers which means they can purchase fresh CT grown items and get
double their voucher amount!   Hope to see you all next week!

After the June 11 arrest of Luis A. Rodriguez for the 2001 murder of Walnut Beach resident Kelsey Monahon, I got curious about other long-term unsolved homicides in Milford.
