Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut
Milford police will join more than 1,200 other police officers and over 100 departments across the state as part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut.
The run started on Wednesday and ends on Friday. It spans 530 miles from Greenwich to New Haven, according to a press release from the Milford Police Department. Runners are scheduled to cross the Milford town line at 2:52 p.m. on Bridgeport Avenue. They are following route 1 throughout the Milford portion of the run and are scheduled to cross into Orange at 3:44 p.m.
Students from Jonathan Law and Foran High schools will run with Milford officers as part of the “Run with the Law” program.
