Police remind residents to lock car doors

Police are encouraging Milford residents to lock their car doors in the wake of a number of thefts from vehicles.

The incidents occurred on Harvest Lane, Jennifer Lane, Partridge Lane and Oronoque Road, but police said that thefts from vehicles aren't just limited to this area.

The majority of vehicles from which items were stolen were unlocked, according to police. Items like GPS units and cameras were stolen.

Police are requesting that people report break-ins even if no items were stolen because it will help the department keep better track of attempts.
