Accident in Milford leads to DUI arrest

An accident that occurred on Melba Street on Sunday has led to the arrest of a Milford man for drunken driving.

Police investigated the accident and found Thomas Flowers of Milford was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He refused to take a breathalyzer test, Police said.

In a separate incident police found a Milford woman to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence on Saturday.

Police found a vehicle stopped partially off the roadway. They found Jennifer Wittman inside texting on her cell phone while the engine was running.

An intoxilyzer test revealed she had an elevated blood alcohol level.
