Milford's Kim Rose appointed to a house leadership position

MILFORD--State Representative Kim Rose (D-Milford) has been appointed to serve as House vice chair of the Housing Committee and Assistant Majority Whip by Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey (D-Hamden).

“It is an honor to have been appointed to serve in these leadership roles in my second term in the State legislature," Rep. Rose said. "I look forward to working with all my colleagues and helping move important housing matters and housing programs legislation forward."

"Rep. Rose has proven to be a dedicated and hardworking legislator and is very deserving of her new leadership role," Speaker Sharkey said.  "Without a doubt, Kim will be instrumental in helping us find new and alternative ways as we continue to deal with the many challenges facing our state."

Kim Rose, who was sworn to her second term Wednesday as the General Assembly convened to the 2013 Regular session, will also continue to serve on the Veterans and Environment Committees.
