Police blotter 6/24
Here's what police are reporting for notable arrests from over the weekend (all from Milford PD press release).
Name: Christopher Rosa, 24, East Haven
Arrest date: June 21, 9:50 a.m.
Pending charge: third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal trespass, fourth-degree larceny
Police say: Rosa took copper grounding wires from a construction site at 185 Research Drive on April 16. He was arrested on a warrant on Friday.
Name: Eden Weiss, 40, Woodbridge
Arrest date: June 21, 10:45 p.m.
Pending charge: violation of conditions of release
Police say: Weiss was ordered by the court to stay away from a person whom he was involved in a domestic disturbance with; on April 29, police got a complaint that he violated that order by going to the victim's home. Police arrested Weiss on a warrant on Friday.
Name: Paul Gaites Sr., 50, Wallingford
Arrest date: June 22, 11:53 p.m.
Pending charge: violation of a protective order, second-degree failure to appear
Police say: Responding to a Finch Street home on a report of an "unwanted male," they found Edward Gaites there. When they put him in the back of a patrol car, his brother, Paul, came over and started shouting at him. Police checked out Paul Gaites and discovered there was a protective order prohibiting Paul from talking to Edward. They also found that Paul Gaites had a warrant for failure to appear.
