Police arrested a West Haven man for burglarizing Milford Boat Works over the weekend. Police responded to a burglar alarm at Milford Boat Works around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, where they found a shattered glass door. They located Kyle Anderson, 24, in the area and found him wearing rain boots and weather clothing from Milford Boat Works. Anderson is charged with burglary, criminal mischief and larceny. He was released on a promise to appear. DUI A Bridgeport man was arrested early Saturday morning for driving while intoxicated. Police observed a vehicle that was stopped for an extended period of time at a red light. Carlos Baez, 33, was given an intoxilyzer test and results indicated he had an elevated blood alcohol content level. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and was released on a $500 bond.

Police were investigating a disturbance at a Park Circle residence when Paul Wheeler, 59, allegedly became combative with police. Wheeler attempted to strike one of the officers, police said. He allegedly continued to fight officers while being taken into custody and police used an electronic control device to subdue him. Wheeler continued to be uncooperative and also yelled at emergency responders at the scene and threatened them and their families. He was charged with two counts of attempted assault on a police officer, interfering with police and threatening. He was held on a $25,000 bond.

A New Haven man was arrested by Milford police  for violating a protective order. Police arrested William Guiles Jr. around 1:00 a.m. on August 29. He is accused of contacting his wife three times through Facebook in July and August 2012. Guiles was charged with violation of probation and three counts of violation of a protective order. He was held on a $30,000 bond.

A Bridgeport man was arrested in Milford for shoplifting from a Target store on August 27. Michael Delucia is accused of stealing a television antenna valued at $41 from the store. Police also found he was caring a switchblade knife on his person during the arrest. He is charged with 6th degree larceny and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was released on a promise to appear.

Police arrested two parents on Saturday for leaving their children unattended while they were at work. Police received a complaint that a seven-year-old and nine-year-old were left unattended at their home on Long Island View Road. The parents, Tuan Xuan Dong and Mai T. Tran were charged with risk of injury to a minor.

James Rogers of Milford was arrested Tuesday in connection with an alleged July 17 assault on a relative. Rogers had gone to a relative's business where he and another man got into an argument, according to a police investigation. Rogers initially refused to leave the building, but eventually did so and returned with a handgun. Rogers allegedly pointed the gun at the victim, threatened to hurt him and then assaulted him while holding the hand gun. The victim received a minor injury to his face. There are multiple charges against Rogers including: carrying a firearm without a permit, 2nd degree assault, 2nd degree threatening, 2nd degree breach of peace, 1st degree criminal trespass and 1st degree reckless endangerment. The bond was set at $1,000.

Police arrested a Bridgeport woman for harassing a Milford resident after she called 32 times in 30 minutes. Police received a complaint on April 5 and further investigation led to Barbara Williams arrest Monday. She was angry that the complainant had her friend arrested for an unrelated incident, according to a police report. Williams was charged with second degree harassment and was released on a promise to appear.
