Cracker Barrel cashier arrested for alleged credit card theft

A West Haven resident was arrested on Sunday for allegedly making unauthorized transactions that stemmed from the Milford Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Police received a complaint on Oct. 3 from the restaurant regarding several customer's credit cards that were compromised in July 2012. Investigation revealed that at least 12 customers had unauthorized transactions made on their accounts in New York state, according to police.

Police charged Shanakawa Cameron, 22, with 12 counts each for unlawful use of a scanning device, credit card theft and conspiracy to commit identity theft.
