Maroney receives endorsement from longtime State Rep. Roy

From Maroney 2012 campaign staff:

Retiring State Representative Richard Roy (D-119) today endorsed James Maroney in the contest that will decide his successor. Calling him "uniquely qualified," Representative Roy said that James will "truly represent the best that Milford and Orange have to offer."

"James has served admirably and ably as the Majority Leader on the Board of Education, and his experience building a small business that helps children achieve the dream of a college education will be an invaluable asset not only to him, but to the citizens he will represent," Roy said.

He added: "I can't imagine a better person to take my place."

Roy has represented the 119th district since 1993, and has tirelessly represented his community. He has fought passionately to defend the environment and improve our state's agricultural policies.

"From his time as a reporter to his twenty years of experience serving our community, Richard Roy is one of Milford's finest public servants," James Maroney said. "I am honored to have his endorsement."

James Maroney, a lifelong Milford resident, is serving on the Milford Board of Education, where he also serves as Majority Leader. The Jonathan Law and Yale University graduate is an educational consultant and owner of First Choice College Placement in Milford.
