Lauralton Hall Athletes to Sign National Letter of Intent



MILFORD:  Lauralton Hall is pleased to announce that two of its star athletes, seniors Alyssa Fratarcangeli of Milford and Caitlin Bennett of Fairfield, will be signing National Letters of Intent. The press is invited to attend the signing ceremony which will be held in the Lauralton Hall Athletic Center on Wednesday, March 6th at 2:30pm.  Alyssa Fratarcangeli will be signing to play soccer at the University of Massachusetts and Caitlin Bennett will be signing to play field hockey at Fairfield University.

As field hockey goalie Caitlin Bennett set a single-season school record with 15 shutouts and tied her own single-season school record by allowing just seven goals in 21 games.  Caitlin led the Crusaders to the South West Conference Patriot Division title and SWC tournament co-championship and reached the Class S semifinals as the top-seeded team.  A two-time Register All-Area, all-state, All-SWC, Connecticut Post All-Star, Caitlin was selected for the Senior All-Star game and participated in the National Field Hockey Festival in Florida in November.  Caitlin also plays field hockey for the Competitive Edge travel team and is currently participating in the Futures Field Hockey program.

A four year started for the Varsity Soccer Program at Lauralton Hall, Alyssa Fratarcangeli scored 35 career goals for the Varsity team and had 48 career assists.  Alyssa was an Honorable Mention to the All SWC team her freshman year; to the All Patriot Division team her sophomore year, and as a junior and senior, she was one of the first picked for the All SWC Team.  In addition to her league honors, Alyssa was named to the New Haven Register All Area team in 11th and 12th grade, the Connecticut Post All Star Team, the Connecticut All State Girls Soccer team as a Junior and Senior, and was also a two time member of the All New England team, a first for Lauralton Hall.  Alyssa also plays soccer for the CFC Premier Program.
